A nine year old girl in Khachrod, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh was brutally murdered by her neighbour Riyaz Khan. The reports shows Riyaz attempted rape and assaulted the child. When she resisted and cried for help. He sacked her, and started beating her until she fell unconscious.
The incident took place on 14 December 2025 around 05:45pm. After the girl came to her grandmother’s house along with her two elder sisters. The two sisters were sitting on the roof while the victim was outside playing.
The family rushed her to the local hospital for treatment. Since her condition was critical she was moved to Ratlam Hospital where she passed away on 15th December.
The Khachrod SDOP Akanksha Bichote stated that doctors found no injuries due to fall. The injuries indicated that she was hit continuously by a hard object. The police deployed a dog and a team of forensics to the house of Riyaz Khan to collect the evidence.
Riyaz confessed to the police that he was alone with her in his house when he attempted the assault. He beat her with a “mogri” and stuffed her in a sack believing she was dead. He dragged her out of the house and realized she was still alive so he carried her to her grandmother’s house claiming she fell from the roof.
The police have arrested Riyaz and investigation still continues. People have demanded strict justice for the young girl.
